The shield of Queen Elizabeth II’s Coat of Arms is a made up of four fields, but symbolizes only three nations. The field one and four includes the three golden English lions on a red background, while field two includes the red Scottish lion on a yellow background and field three the golden Irish harp with white strings on a blue background. Surrounding the shield, which is held up by a golden lion and a white unicorn, is the Order of the Garter. On top of the shield is the Crown of the King (Queen) and beneath a banner with a inscription in French that says:
?God and My Right?.
